I’ve seen it this high before but never this quick. Helluva downpour.
Drained quick too most of this was gone in about 2 hours.
Should help the muskrat I’ve been feeding. I never seen one out of the water. Never knew they were brown. Rat tail beaver would of been a better name.

Damn! Hopefully
the rain stays off and doesn’t flood your garage or house! :(
We had our bas
ement flood in 2018 to the tune of $20,000 CAD in repairs plus lost stuff, so I would feel your pain...

Yikes
Ive actually seen it higher but it never got in the garage. That's my big worry.

Those guys also live in F inland. I have seen some swimming near my parents’ summer cabin. They are seen as invasive species but they aren’t very harmful. They dig burrows near shorelines and cause sometimes damage to fishing nets but that’s pretty much it.

Yowza. When I was a kid I couldn’t understand adults’ obsession with drainage concerns, but now I get it.

He seems to eat just about any weed you can imagine. Really likes clover and obviously sunflower seeds. Ive lived here for over 20 years and they used to be a rare sight but this year it's almost a daily occurrence but it has been dry lately.

Only when it starts to float.
No that top pic is off my deck. My house sits on a 4.5 high crawlspace so it it gets in my house the whole neighborhood is screwed. I raised the garage up as much as I could afford when I built it. Hopefully it’s enough.

eh, houses on hills can have problems with the side of the house that’s uphill in a strong rain.
But not having a basement solves a lot of those problems.

It kinda surprises me that people want a basement in Michigan.

Wow, yeah, not a drop here. Good old Great Lakes. Odd weather patterns. Glad you didn’t get washed out at least. I was able to cruise Woodward last night and it was a perfect windows down night. Took a few trips, 3 boys and only one passenger seat in my truck. I got back from the first ride and the next son wanted go. Good times.
